The NFL Draft is less than two weeks away and a very productive running back remains unclaimed in free agency. J.K. Dobbins is still on the market, an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career. Dobbins played for the Baltimore Ravens since being drafted in 2020.
However, as Ravens fans and Maryland sports betting operators know, multiple injuries throughout Dobbins’ career have made him a less appealing player.
The Ravens made it clear who will be their No. 1 running back when they signed bulldozer Derrick Henry to a two-year, $16 million contract recently. That indicates Dobbins is either on the way out or returning at a drastically reduced role.
BetMaryland.com – your source for Maryland sports betting promos - developed hypothetical odds to see where Dobbins likely will end up for the start of the NFL season in the fall. Here are the possible landing spots in our latest update, as the odds have shifted during the process.
J.K. Dobbins Probable Odds
Could Chiefs Be Next Team for Dobbins?
Our hypothetical odds still have Dobbins coming back to Baltimore or going to a team not listed as the best bet at +160 (38.5%).
And while the Ravens have signed Henry, they lost Gus Edwards to the Los Angeles Chargers. That's why our odds of Henry returning to the Ravens are so high and why the Chargers have fallen back on the odds chart behind the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs, who had Dobbins in for a visit, are at +300. The Chargers dropped to +500.
Other teams behind the Chiefs and the Chargers are the Dallas Cowboys (+1400), the New York Jets (+1800) and Giants (+2200), the Cincinnati Bengals and Las Vegas Raiders (both +4000).
Meanwhile, Maryland sports betting apps are expecting the Ravens to bounce back from playoff disappointment.
The Ravens, at +900, are third on the future oddsboard at BetMGM Maryland. Only the San Francisco 49ers (+550) and the Kansas City Chiefs (+650) are ahead of Baltimore.
