Ravens Vs. Colts Odds

After a home win over Houston in Week 1 and a road victory over NFC North rival Cincinnati, the Ravens are 2-0. Their next game is Sunday at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium against Indianapolis (1-1).

As of Tuesday afternoon, the Colts are unsure who their starting quarterback will be. Rookie Anthony Richardson, a first-round draft pick in the spring, is in the concussion protocol. He was hurt in his team’s win over Houston last weekend and his backup, veteran Gardner Minshew, was steady in holding onto a lead he inherited for a win over the Texans.

The Ravens are a solid 7.5-point favorite at BetMGM Maryland Sportsbook and an 8-point favorite at Caesars.

History Promising For Teams That Start 3-0

A 3-0 start, should they beat the Colts, would mean the Ravens are in excellent shape, according to recent NFL history.

Following the Ravens’ 2-0 start, BetMaryland compiled data from the website ChampsorChumps to see how every team that started 3-0 over the previous five seasons ultimately fared.

Over the past five seasons, 24 teams have started 3-0 and 20 of them (83.3%) went on to reach the playoffs. More encouraging for Ravens fans is that 41.7% of those 3-0 teams made it to at least the conference championship game. And six of the 10 Super Bowl participants since the 2018 season started 3-0.

Taking the most recent 3-0 teams, the 2022 Philadelphia Eagles stormed to a 14-3 regular-season record and went to the Super Bowl, where they were edged at the wire by Kansas City. The Miami Dolphins also bolted to a 3-0 mark last year but starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered multiple injuries. Miami finished 9-8 and lost in the Wild Card round to Buffalo with Skylar Thompson at quarterback.

In 2021, the Los Angeles Rams started 3-0 and won the Super Bowl.

With their 2-0 start this season, Baltimore’s odds of winning the Super Bowl vary at Maryland sports betting operators. Those odds range from +1000 at Fan Duel Maryland Sportsbook to +1400 at BetMGM and DraftKings Maryland Sportsbook. In the opening odds at BetMGM, the Ravens were +1800 to win the Super Bowl.
