Maryland Leads In Bang For Your Buck
Of the 18 teams that make up the newly expanded Big Ten conference, Maryland’s total affordability score of 148.3 ranked atop the list. That beat out Nebraska’s total of 147.4 and Washington’s 141.6. UW is one of four programs joining the league from the former Pac-12, along with Southern California, UCLA and Oregon.
One of those other newcomers, USC, is fourth on our list at 138.7 points. Rutgers (136.0) rounds out the top five while Minnesota ranked as the conference school offering the least bang for the buck, with 108.4 points.

This year, Terps fans will have a shot at seeing UConn, Michigan State (on Sept. 7), Villanova (on Sept. 21), Northwestern (on Oct. 11), USC (on Oct. 19), Rutgers (on Nov. 16) and Iowa (on Nov. 23) inside the hallowed grounds of SECU Stadium in College Park. That gives UM faithful plenty of opportunities to get their money’s worth before the football season wraps up this fall.
A few weeks before the season, Caesars Maryland Sportsbook offers a preseason win total over/under of 6.5 for Maryland. Over 6.5 has +120 odds; under 6.5 is at -150 for a program aiming for its fourth consecutive year with a bowl game.
