Baltimore Ravens’ Mount Rushmore of Last Decade

Baltimore Ravens’ Mount Rushmore of Last Decade
Fact Checked by Pat McLoone

Few NFL teams have experienced the consistent level of success that the Baltimore Ravens have achieved over the last few decades, with a pair of Super Bowls victories following the 2000 and 2012 seasons and six postseason appearances since 2014.

The success has kept the fan base energized and Maryland sports betting hopping.

Much of that success can be attributed to shrewd draft decisions, along with timely acquisitions via NFL free agency. Two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson is a prime example of the former, and countless Ravens can be cited as an example of the latter.

With the offseason in full swing, BetMaryland.com – your source for Maryland betting apps - took a step back to look at some fun historic takes on the NFL franchise – such as the always loved Mount Rushmore.

Utilizing Pro-Football-Reference.com, we developed the Baltimore Ravens’ Mount Rushmore of the past decade from 2014-2024. The players included had to have played for the Ravens for at least three years during this time period and it is based on their Approximate Value (based on Pro-Football-Reference standards) during those years with the team.

Listing the Ravens’ Immortals

Since 2014, few NFL players have achieved more on the field than Lamar Jackson. With two MVPs awards in 2019 and 2023, Jackson also has made the NFL’s All-Pro teams twice and the Pro Bowl on three occasions since being drafted 32nd overall in 2018. Earlier this month, we examined how MVPs perform the following season.

The former Heisman winner out of Louisville has accumulated a career approximate value of 93 in 89 NFL games, with a 58-19 record in the regular season, thanks to his 15,887 passing yards, 125 touchdowns (to 45 interceptions), to go with 5,258 yards with 29 scores on the ground.

Jackson’s 93 AV total trumped the No. 2 Raven, Marshal Yanda, who compiled a 67 AV with the club at guard. He played 177 games with the franchise.

The eight-time Pro Bowler beat out linebacker C.J. Mosley (65 AV) and defensive tackle Brandon Williams (60 AV) for the No. 2 spot behind Jackson.

Mosley made five Pro Bowl teams in 129 NFL games between being drafted 17th overall by Baltimore in 2014 and 2023, playing with the Ravens from 2014 to 2018 before moving on to the New York Jets, where he’s played ever since.

Williams made the Pro Bowl once during his 128-game career from 2013 to 2022, with all but one of those coming with the Ravens (before closing out his career with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022). The 94th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft out of Missouri Southern had 184 solo tackles, along with 7.0 sacks and two forced fumbles in his pro career, warranting his place atop the Ravens’ Mount Rushmore of greats over the last 10 years.
