BetMaryland.com, where you’ll find the top Maryland sportsbook promos, wanted to see which states were most excited to cheer on Team USA during the Paris Olympics this summer. Using Google Trends, we found and ranked the top 10 states most excited for the “2024 Olympics,” based on search interest score compared to other topics.

The search was done June 3-10, 2024. The search term was “2024 Olympics.”

Maryland Interested In 2024 Summer Olympics

Nationally, Colorado (89 search interest score), Iowa (85) and Utah (82) finished with the highest totals for Olympics search interest, according to our research. The U.S. Olympic Committee is headquartered in Colorado Springs.

Rounding out the top 10 nationally were Vermont, Minnesota and Delaware (74 search interest score each), Maine (73) and Nebraska (72).

When the Summer Olympics kick off in earnest on July 26, you can rest assured that Marylanders from the Appalachia east towards the shores of the Atlantic will tune in.
